Mexican Culture GEOshow

Mexican Culture GEOshow at Peterson Pedregal
The students of 5th A participated yesterday in a live internet show hosted by Learn Around the World. The team of LATW visited our classroom and made it possible for us to tell other classes in different countries about our culture.  In show-and-tell fashion, they told them about the importance of corn in our food, taught them how to prepare tacos and chilaquiles, brought Day of the Dead bread and a sugar skull to tell them about this festivity, danced “La Danza de los Viejitos”, played instruments like the huehuetl and güiro, played “Cielito Lindo” on the violin, showed some crafts, and talked about some archaeological sites and famous painters.
It was definitely a unique and enriching experience!
